Guide to Making Your Video
Producing a video is a complex process.
There are so many elements: Project research, scripting, location and talent scouting and organisation, film shoots, voiceover record, editing, music, graphics and duplication. It's fairly obvious there are so many areas that can go wrong.
For us, the most important first step is to ensure proper planning to guarantee the design and implmentation of a successful project.
Our Production Approach:
- Digicast begins the production process by meeting with you in person to find out more about your business. The aim of this initial meeting is to identify your core messages and objectives and to gather all of the information we require. We will also want to look at your current marketing or training material.
- From here, we write a script that has been developed using thorough research and consultation. It will be a script that quickly and succinctly conveys your message, written in language easily understood by your audience. We like to write specifics, not generalities.
Each script is also accompanied by a storyboard, which details the vision that is required for the corresponding narration.
The script is very important, as it sets the tone for the entire production. Only when you are happy with the script and have given approval will we begin filming. - After the script is finalised, a shooting schedule is put together. With your help, we will organise locations and talent. A list of tips and tricks will also be provided to ensure that your office and staff are ready for their big day in front of the camera. Filming will then start at your required locations, using superior cameras to create high quality productions.
- After we have collected all of the vision we need, the editing process begins. This is where your story comes to life, using expert editing and interesting effects. Our state-of-the-art broadcast quality digital video cameras and editing equipment will assure impressive results. Our production values are high, as we believe that for a video to work it has to have the look and feel of a well-made television commercial.
- Once the production is completed, we can output it to CDROM, DVD, digital tape or VHS. A wide range of formats are available, depending upon your requirements.
