Training DVD with Training Manuals

Most companies train staff either one-on-one with a training manual or put new recruits into a training room with a trainer and a PowerPoint presentation.

Generally, most of the training manuals are quite wordy and bland looking and depending upon the quality of the presenter and slides, these can be, well, a bit boring, too.

What happens is that workers get bored and don't listen to the messages.  And if they are new starters, they start planning when they will leave and start their next job (to learn more read How a Great Induction Process makes a Great Company).  This results in poor productivity, high incident rates, poor morale and a high turnover rate.

By improving training quality, companies can ensure consistently trained staff who have high morale, low absenteeism, low turnover and a good safety culture.

And when it comes to workplace learning there is one important method that often gets looked by trainers.  And that is the power of visuals.

Studies by educational researchers have found that 83% of human learning occurs visually.  Visually rich information keeps the eyes busy, and the brain more alert to new information.

It is our right brain, that is the Visual brain.  It has the ability to understand pictures and conceptualise.  By properly applying the "picture is a thousand words" principle into training materials, companies can harness enormous improvement in their staff training.

Digicast creates entire training packages that can include trainer’s manuals, employee handbooks, posters and PowerPoint presentations that are all centred around highly visual training videos.

Training DVD’s are an extremely powerful training tool,
but when used in conjunction with face to face training the power of video is multiplied.

By creating training materials around highly engaging visuals, disinterested workers suddenly become more interested and even highly approve of their personal copies of materials, referring to them often.

So quite quickly, training can be rolled out across a number of sites to engage staff and train them in consistent workplace practices.

And unlike other video production houses, Digicast is able to produce all training materials in-house ensuring consistency and client convenience.
