In-Store Video

In-Store Video Content and Installation

Given that 75% of buying decisions are made once a shopper is in the store, it is understandable how interacting with the customer at the point of sale can dramatically increase sales.

While other research has found that in-store video promotions increase unplanned purchases by 30%, increase customer spend by 10% and vastly improves brand recall.

However, installing digital screens, playing your television ad and crossing your fingers don’t necessarily make for a successful in-store media strategy.

At Digicast, we have installed television screens and produced customized content for the viewer environment since 1991.

With our expertise, we can help you with:

  1. Digital screen technology – What screens will work best?  Should the content be centrally located or distributed through DVD players?
  2. Well-produced, targeted content – Using your standard TVC’s as part of your in-store video campaign can have minimal results.  We can recommend and develop appropriate content for your audience.
  3. Content management – We are able to look after all of your video content needs and distribute your content to all stores across Australia and even the world.

Case Study – Fashioning a Fashion Television Network

In-Store VideoDigicast Productions undertook all of the video production requirements for Fashion Week at Melbourne in November 2002-2003 and in Sydney for May 2004.

At Sydney Fashion Week, we filmed 70 fashion parades in four days.  Each parade was edited and then scheduled into the Network Player which allowed us to create a playlist and play out the content when we wanted to.  This means sponsor ads were able to be shown the right amount of times in amongst parades.

Parades were screened daily onto the fashion TV network that we created which included 14 widescreen plasmas and three large screens.  This included uploading to our Melbourne server for delayed playback on the Federation Square big screen (881 kilometres away).

Case Study – Tourist Channel Network

Tourist ChannelTourist Channel was a television network installed into hotels and motels in tourist regions of Victoria and South Australia.

Tourist Channel operated from approximately 60 venues and was displayed on more than 1,200 televisions. We operated this network for ten years from 1991, creating all of the content to revolve around viewer’s immediate needs. The network was highly automated, requiring little to no involvement from venue managers.

Tourist Channel won multiple awards including a certificate of merit from Tourism Victoria.
