I stumbled across you're site today and would like to thank you for helping my cause in my work place as I try to push us into creating more videos. Our Support Page is beginning to have both text and video support items because some people are better learning by reading while others need to watch it. I'm not sure if our product would fit in with your mission, but video conferencing is another great resource for training/business. This is a shameless plug, but, our product Visimeet (http://www.iocom.com/) let's you record meetings and share them. We have used this feature to train new users as well as new employees.

Thanks for providing me with materials to back up my own cause!

Remember as a kid the best way to learn stuff at school was "Show and Tell"?

No different now. Safety is vitally important and we shouldn't sugarcoat the facts. That's why drink drive campaigns don't really work because they are scared of upsetting people!

face facts people. Lack of safety hurts, injures, maims and sometimes kills!

When I create safety training, I prefer to avoid shock photos as much as possible. I find that shock photos tend to make people tune out as they cringe if the photo is gross enough. It doesn't facilitate involvement with the crowd, and I find that it makes the training less effective. Plus, I hate looking at them.

I avoid using incorrect photos during the training, but I LOVE to use them as 'tests' at the end of the training sessions to get the trainees to think about the behavior they have probably seen, but never made the connection that the behavior is unsafe. Its a great way to encourage people to think through the right way to do things on the job.

"“What’s working and how can we do more of it?”"

A great way of looking at it! Instead of focusing on what everyone is doing that is wrong, champion the good behaviors. Scare tactics don't work as well as positive reinforcement.

It will be nice to have one useful toolkit to use. Back pain is terrible and indeed a detriment to an efficient performance. Having such tool will be able to help workers work more effectively even for longer hours.

A safety training is a must for every organization as well as for every job. Different type of jobs need different types of safety training but the basic training is quite the same. So before framing the training course content, it is necessary to have a chat with the core group.
